Move- In Guidelines – Brookline Residents

We have provided you with some information that will be helpful as you move in to your new apartment!

RENT

Rent is due on the first of each month! It is late by the 5th of each month. Please make sure that your rent payments are received by our office on time!
Please pay rent online using the tenant portal. We no longer accept checks as too many have been lost or delayed by the mails.
On your rent checks, please note your address and whether the check is coming from your parents or from the tenant. This is very important in order to ensure that you receive prompt credit for your payment.

MAINTENANCE

If you have any maintenance problems, please use the tenant portal to let us know.Our property manager, Susan Zappone will promptly attend to it.
NOTE! Window covering and light bulb replacement is the tenant’s responsibility and not a maintenance issue. You also must have a plunger handy, as you will be charged for the visit if you make a service call for a clogged toilet and have no plunger. If you have an emergency after business hours that can’t wait until business hours, besides putting in a work order on the tenant portal, call our office where you will be directed to an emergency number you can call that will direct you to an emergency voice mail system to report the problem to our after hours emergency personnel.

Heat and hot water are included in your rent. When you move in, you will need to call for any other utility services that you require, typically gas for the stove, electricity, phone, cable and internet access. We have provided the numbers for the companies that provide Brookline with these services:

In accordance with the Egmont Park Condominium rules, satellite dishes are not allowed. We will need 24 hours notice in order to provide access to the basement of your building for cable or telephone installation. We provide this access between the hours of 8:00 am and 12:00 noon only. Please call to schedule an appointment.

LAUNDRY

Your laundry facility is located in the basement. The washers and the dryers are $2.00 per cycle. If you experience any difficulty with the laundry machines, please note the number of the machine, how much money was lost, if any, and report the problem to the company listed in the laundry room immediately.

PARKING

There may be a parking lot behind your building. This lot contains spaces that are rented out and are separate from the apartments.
Do not park in the lot if you have not rented a space. You will be towed at you own expense. Main Street Realty may rent spaces in that lot. If you are in need of a parking space, call 508-359-6622 for prices and availability.

PETS

There are no pets allowed in the building, although we may allow a cat upon request.
